Why make another app launcher?

I wanted to cut down my screen time, and looked around for all possible ways - dumb phones, screen time apps, deleting majority of the apps, social media blockers, etc.

I wanted to keep using my iPhone, but just more intentionally. Few apps that exist in this space were priced too high (around 25$ for lifetime), which was a barrier to entry for me, and I guess most other people too.
